What about the Promises?
Remember all the promises that were made to get elected. “I
will lower your taxes and create 1000 new high paying jobs.”
“I will pay for our schools.” Now they are raising our taxes
for special projects and asking us to pay twice for our services.
I don’t remember hearing that when they were selling their
campaigns.
Be Smart With Our Money-If we
ever get low on money we should have reserves in place. We
should not allow them to run our cities out of money as an excuse to
raise our taxes.
Enough is Enough!
Continuing endless requests keep coming for higher taxes and more
referendums. Special interests are paying for lawyers and lobbyists
with our tax money only to find ways to get more money they don’t
need. There is an irritating lack of transparency in our local
government that did not exist 20 years ago. Don’t give them more
money they don’t need for stuff we are already paying high taxes
for.
Why are we paying 50% more in sales tax since 1999?
The total sales tax increase since 1999 has been 50%. Warren County
population has increased only by nearly zero and is expected
to decline over in next 10 years. City spending has
skyrocketed. They no longer care about keeping cash
reserves in a budget.
They always seem to find ways to get us to pay more and get less.
